As the first model in our new 2021 Shift R line, the R5 29" is the perfect combination of frame design and components to shred the trails. The new Shift R5 is based on our new 4-link frame with updated geometry and proprietary X6 aluminum tubes. It features a steeper seat tube angle for more efficient pedaling, a slacker head tube angle (at 67 degrees) and a longer reach for an improved riding position. With 120 mm of rear travel and 130 mm of front travel, provided by X-Fusion and Suntour respectively , the Shift R5 with its new Shimano Deore 11-speed components and 11-51T cassette enables a smooth ride on or off the trails, with a wide range of gear ratios and precise, crisp shifting.
